Intensive Care Unit simulator
Studies show an increasing shortfall of intensive care specialists estimated to reach 35% by 2020
In the US alone the estimated cost of medical errors is $20 billion, indirect cost to the economy is estimated as high as $1 trillion per year
Virtensive is a cost effective solution for the introduction and practice of intensive care. It allows more efficient use of physical simulation rooms and increase the amount of students that receive ICU education as well as improve the quality of the education process.
Virtensive is designed to be usable on multiple platforms and is highly customizable. A content and simulation pool will be established based on the existing knowledge and early customer feedback and will be continuously made available to all other users.
In cooperation with our partners we are integrating algorithm based medical training scenarios into Virtensive. Students recieving ICU education via Virtensive will perform more efficiently and productively in the real ICU work setting and thus attribute to fewer medical errors.
